Let’s Talk 2021 Etsy Trends as They Relate to Your Vintage Shop!

Last week while I was doing some much needed deep cleaning of the house (boo), I made the most out of my time and caught up on the latest Etsy Success podcast episode where the lovely and super knowledgeable Dayna Isom Johnson talked about Etsy sales trends for 2021.

If you’re not paying close attention to Dayna’s trend reports each quarter, you may be missing out on some opportunities to boost your shop’s sales and exposure! Although I will admit, I’m not one to quickly jump on trends because I like what I like and I want to stay true to my brand, but there are always takeaways I can apply to my vintage shop, whether it’s utilizing popular keywords or sourcing more of a category that I already stock.

How to Ship Like a Pro to Save Time, Increase Profit and Get Great Reviews!

When I recently polled fellow vintage sellers about the aspects of their shops that they struggle with the most, one of the common themes was shipping, and the answers spanned from how to package items correctly to where to buy postage to how to set up shipping profiles, and so on and so on...🤯

Shipping is a tough nut to crack and it’s taken me years to figure it out and I’m still constantly looking for ways to optimize my strategy to save time and money. And when I say constantly, I mean it!

I think back to those early days of selling on Etsy and I’m embarrassed by how I didn’t take shipping seriously and how I neglected to take it into account towards my shop’s overall strategy (um wait, I had no strategy 😩). Oh how many hours I wasted and so much profit down the drain over the years! 🤦🏼‍♀️😭

So I know shipping isn’t really anyone’s favorite topic but we all have to deal with it - let’s try to shift our mindset and fall in love with it instead of dread it, shall we? 👁❤️📦👍🏼
