Customers love hitting that order button and receiving their package quickly. I know so because I get loads of reviews from my Etsy customers thanking me for such a speedy delivery!

Offering a fast turnaround on shipping out orders can help you make more sales, so if you're hesitant to tighten up your processing times, I want you to consider these points:

1) Etsy prioritizes listings with faster processing times in their Search Ranking.

2) Customers prefer it and could be turned off by a long wait, causing you to lose the sale. (you know how many last minute shoppers there are out there! Hello, me!)

So I'll ask you to review your Shipping Profiles and evaluate why you chose your processing window if it's anything more than 1-3 days. Is it because you have a demanding day job and know it's not possible to ship out within a few days of an order because you can only pack orders on weekends? Is it because you're worried something will come up and you won't make the window so you give yourself extra time just to be on the safe side? Everyone's situation is unique so be sure to factor in what's ultimately best for you!

Whatever the reason, remember that weekend days don't count as business days so you gain a few extra days if your sales falls in that sweet spot window. And if something major comes up, you also have the ability to push the Ship by Date out and explain why to the customer. I bet they'll be cool about it! (you can only update the Ship by Date if it's before it's due to ship)
